Run4Another 2026
Run4Another 2026 is a run and walk fundraiser organized by One4Another International at Bechtel Park in Waterloo on May 9, 2026. This is the 12th annual event to raise money for children waiting for surgical and medical treatment in Uganda.
The offered distances are:
- 2.5 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
The event is untimed and not a chipped race. Course distances are not certified. The start includes a live countdown from children at the partner clinic in Uganda and a large time clock will be displayed at the start/finish without official chip timing.
The fundraising goal is CA$30,000; the current total is CA$6,886.56, representing 23% of the goal, with 99 participants listed. Funds support a range of needs and procedures. Examples from the event materials show that 100 $ can cover medical tests, medication or mobility aids, 250 $ can pay for a hernia surgery, 800 $ for clubfoot surgery in a young child and 1,200 $ for a double clubfoot surgery for a teen. Top fundraisers are matched with a child in need and receive updates before and after surgery.
On-site amenities include first aid, change facilities, washrooms and water. A free t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations processed by April 25. The event includes fun awards categories and post-run snacks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
