Run Your Heart Out 5K/1K takes place on February 8, 2026 in Fairfax, VA (Fairfax Corner). The event is presented in its 15th year and includes both in-person and virtual options. Race categories offered are:

Entry fees listed for the live and virtual races are $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1K. Prices increase after January 23, 2026.
Logistics and race details
The in-person location is shown as 11895 Grand Commons Ave, Fairfax, VA 22030. Packet pickup is available at PR Run & Walk. A course map is noted as "coming soon." Pre-registered participants receive a commemorative long sleeve shirt, a race bib, a medal, post-race snacks, race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Race photos are free to download after the event; participants are asked to keep their bib visible for photo tagging.
The live 5K will be electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Results will be posted after the race. Awards for the live race will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over.
