Run Your Bass Off
Run Your Bass Off is a community fundraising run and walk held in Stanford, Illinois. The event supports the Olympia Bass Fishing Team by raising money for tournament fees, travel expenses, and equipment for youth anglers. It takes place at 203 N Blackstone Ave during Stanford’s Good Old Days Festival.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Walk (1 mile, untimed)
Registration for each event opens on January 1, 2026 and closes on July 1, 2026. The listed registration fee for the events is $30. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by June 30th.
Awards are presented to the top male and top female overall and to the top male and top female in each age group. Age groups are 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus.
The run and walk coincide with festival activities in the park, including food and craft vendors, live music, a parade, car show, pool games, pony rides, a petting zoo, a foam party, and an evening fireworks display. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
