Run With the Fishes 10K
The Run With the Fishes is an annual running event presented by the Issaquah Rotary Club at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, Washington. The event includes multiple distances and takes place as the salmon return to Issaquah Creek each fall.
Distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids' 1K Dash
The course begins inside the park and follows the Lake Sammamish waterfront while paralleling Issaquah Creek. Runners follow a one-mile stretch along SE 56th Street past the soccer fields and Costco, cross the Issaquah Creek bridge, then reenter the park. The final mile follows a dirt trail along Issaquah Creek; the course crosses the creek twice. 10K participants complete a second loop, while 5K runners finish after one lap. The event is timed with chip timing and includes age group awards. A Washington Parks Discover Pass is required for park parking.
Registration fees are tiered: early registration by June 30 is listed at $40, July 1 through July 31 at $45, and post August 1 at $50. The Kids 1K fee is listed as $20 and includes an event T shirt; the kids run is sponsored by Arbor Montessori School. Costumes are welcomed and prizes are awarded for Best in Show, Best Family "School" of Fish, and Best Team Costume. Post race offerings include local food trucks, live music, and a beer garden featuring Big Block Brewery. Strollers are not suitable for the trail portion of the course.
