Run with the Cows 5K - Chatham, MI
Run with the Cows is a community 5K race held in Chatham, Michigan on August 1, 2026. The event is organized by the Chatham Lions Club in conjunction with the Alger County Fair and takes place near N5274 M-94 West, Chatham, MI 49816.

Adult entry carries a $30 fee. Youth participants 17 and under can participate for free and receive the same race items as paid adults. Pre-registration is available and entry completed by July 26 includes a complimentary T-shirt. Late and walk-in registrations are allowed but a T-shirt is not guaranteed for those registrations. On-site registration and packet pick-up are available the day of the race.
All participants receive a T-shirt if pre-registered, a discount coupon for ice cream at Mama Cows, and a day pass to the Alger County Fair. Proceeds from the event support the Chatham Lions Club and local community events.
The course begins at Peoples State Bank in Chatham, runs past cow-filled pastures associated with Michigan State University’s Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center, and returns to Peoples State Bank. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
