The Pictured Rocks Road Race takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Munising, Michigan. This is the 51st annual running of the event. The race starts and finishes at Bayshore Park on the southern shore of Lake Superior. Distances offered:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
All participants receive a long-sleeve shirt. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
Course
Both events include a mix of paved roads and rustic two-track trails. The half marathon contains roughly 3 miles of dirt and includes two climbs of about 300 feet each. The 10K shares the first climb along the dirt road section. The course passes near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
Registration and fees
Listed entry fees are $50 for the half marathon and $40 for the 10K. An Early Early Bird pricing window runs from December 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026; normal early bird pricing continues through April 30. Registration fees increase each month after March 31. Group discounts are available through May 31 - $5 off per participant for groups of 3 to 10, and $10 off per participant for groups of 11 or more. Registrations received after June 1 will not include a t-shirt size selection; registrants may choose race socks (SM/MED or LG/XL) instead.
