51st Annual Road Race in Munising
The Pictured Rocks Road Race takes place in Munising, Michigan, a location known as the gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The event course starts and finishes at Bayshore Park, situated on the southern shores of Lake Superior. Participants can choose between two main distances that utilize a combination of paved surfaces and trail sections.
The available event distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km Run/Walk
The half marathon involves a mix of paved roads and rustic two-track trails, including approximately 3 miles of dirt terrain. This route features two 300-foot climbs. The 10 km event is a combined run and walk that shares the first of these climbs along the dirt road section of the course.
All participants receive a long-sleeve shirt, though registrations completed after June 1 will receive race socks instead of a shirt due to ordering timelines. Every finisher is awarded a medal upon completing their distance. Group discounts are available for teams ranging from 3 to 10 participants, with larger discounts for groups of 11 or more.
