Rock River Canyon
Rock River Canyon is a trail race south of Munising, Michigan, that follows a route through high country and remote river valleys in the Upper Peninsula. The course begins at Valley Spur Lodge, follows a rarely used section of the North Country Trail to AuTrain, continues into the Rock River Canyon Wilderness, and then retraces eastward back to Valley Spur.

The 50K includes roughly 26 miles of single track, with the remainder on dirt forest roads. The route features frequent ascents and descents on mostly moderate, non-technical terrain that organizers describe as largely runnable. The 27K follows the same initial segment of the 50K for about 8.6 miles to AuTrain Forest Aid before returning to Valley Spur Lodge.
Great Lakes Endurance has operated trail running events in the Great Lakes region since 2000; as of the 2026 season, event operations are handled by Aravaipa Running.
