Run with Joy Half Marathon/10k/5k and 1 Miler
The Run with Joy event is a unicorn-themed running race hosted in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event starts and finishes at the Canteen Brewhouse and utilizes the North Diversion Channel Trail. This shared path features an out-and-back course that is primarily flat, with minor elevation changes occurring at underpasses where the trail crosses major streets.
Participants can choose from four distinct distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Miler
The half-marathon and 10k routes include several aid stations, while the 5k features an aid station at the halfway point. Restrooms are located at the start/finish area and the 5k turnaround point. Feral Adventures provides professional timing services for the event.
The event includes several post-race amenities at the brewery. All participants receive a breakfast burrito and a choice of beer or root beer. Runners in the Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k events receive an event shirt, provided they register by the specified deadline. Finisher medals are awarded specifically to those completing the Half Marathon or 10k.
Post-run activities include live music, food, and a raffle. Rather than traditional top-finisher awards, the event holds a raffle open to all finishers, using bib numbers to select winners for various prizes.
