Run with Joy Half Marathon and 5K

The event takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The run starts and finishes at the Canteen Brewhouse, 2381 Aztec Rd NE. It is a unicorn-themed half marathon and 5K held in honor of late friends. The course is an out-and-back route that runs primarily on the North Diversion Channel Trail.

The 5K will have an aid station at its halfway point. The half marathon will have multiple aid stations along the course. Restrooms are available at the start and finish. Registrations include a t-shirt and a pint of beer; half marathon finishers receive a medal. Root beer will be provided for participants under 21 and for non-beer drinkers. Live music and food will be available after the run. A post-race raffle open to all finishers will replace top finisher awards; bib numbers serve as raffle numbers. Professional timing is provided by Feral Adventures.

Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, March 27 at the Canteen Brewhouse; registrants before March 1, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt in their selected size. Day-of registration and packet pickup will be available, but shirts are not guaranteed for day-of registrants. Prices listed are $90 for the half marathon and $50 for the 5K; prices increase after January 31, 2026.
