The Compress and Shock Foundation is a Roanoke-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is to provide free CPR and AED education. The foundation focuses on communities at higher risk for adverse outcomes from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. Since 2017, the organization has trained over 20,000 learners and placed over 360 AEDs in communities at no cost.
Event Purpose
The event honors cardiac arrest survivors and remembers victims. Proceeds from the event support the foundation's ongoing educational and AED placement work.
