Run With Heart 5K Run/Walk - Roanoke
The Run With Heart 5K Run/Walk takes place on February 20, 2027 in Roanoke, Virginia at 210 Reserve Avenue. The event is organized by the Compress and Shock Foundation, a Roanoke 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free CPR and AED education with emphasis on communities at higher risk due to race, ethnicity, language, or limited healthcare resources. The foundation reports having trained over 22,000 learners and placed over 440 AEDs since 2017. The event is supported by HCA Virginia and Lewis Gale Medical Center and will honor cardiac arrest survivors while remembering victims.

Registration details note a $25 fee for each event. Registration opens October 1, 2026; the in-person 5K registration closes November 1, 2026 and the virtual 5K registration closes February 20, 2027. A No Frills family registration is available for groups of four or five; that option provides a chip-timed bib only, does not include an event shirt or other swag, and still makes participants eligible for awards. Event shirts may be offered for purchase on or after race day.
Packet pickup is scheduled prior to and on event weekend at RunAbout Sports Roanoke and at the race location. Parking is available at the race site, on adjacent streets, and at a nearby parking garage. The event is rain or shine. As a 501(c)(3) event recipient, there are no refunds if the event is cancelled and all registrations are final. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
