Run Wild 5K at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Run Wild is a 5K run/walk held on July 12, 2026, at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Road, Columbus, Ohio. The course goes around the zoo and concludes with a splash finish in the Zoombezi Bay Wild Tides wave pool. All participants receive same-day admission to both Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo.
The event supports the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s needs, including habitat improvements, veterinary care, and education programs. Columbus Zoo members receive a 10 percent discount on event registration. Packet pickup is scheduled for July 10 and July 11, with race day pickup available at the zoo; a designated retail location is available for early packet pickup for those who register before race day.
Race entries follow a no refund policy. BIB transfers are permitted for a fee of $15. Strollers are allowed; pets are not permitted, though service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome. All attendees must hold either a participant or spectator ticket to enter Zoombezi Bay on event day; spectator tickets are limited to two per runner and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
