Run Wild 5K - Shawnee Hills
Run Wild 5K presented by OhioHealth is a 5K run/walk on July 12, 2026 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Road, Columbus, Ohio 43065. The route takes participants around the zoo and finishes in the Zoombezi Bay Wild Tides wave pool.
Entry includes same-day admission to Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo and an event shirt and finisher medal. The event also features a private pool party at the wave pool before Zoombezi Bay opens and free race photos presented by OhioHealth.
Spectator registration will open closer to the event. All attendees must hold either a participant or spectator ticket to enter Zoombezi Bay on event day. Spectator tickets are limited to two per runner and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; organizers will provide details on purchasing spectator tickets.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the weekend before the race with a race day pickup at the Columbus Zoo. A pick up location is available prior to race day for those who register early; a representative may pick up a packet on a participant’s behalf. Entry fees vary by date. The event has a no refund policy; bib transfers are allowed for a fee. Strollers are allowed. No pets are permitted except service animals trained to aid a person with a disability.
