Run Wild 5K - Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Run Wild 5K is scheduled for July 12, 2026 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, with the course taking participants around the zoo and concluding at the Zoombezi Bay wave pool. The event is sold out for 2026.
All participants receive same day admission to Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo. Event items include a unisex event shirt, an official finisher's medal, and race photos presented by OhioHealth. The event also includes a private pool session at the wave pool before Zoombezi Bay opens.
Registration used tiered entry fees with early price breaks and a group discount that reduces the per-entry cost when registering three people using the provided promo code. Current Columbus Zoo members are eligible for a 10 percent registration discount.
Packet pickup is held the Thursday through Saturday before the event at Buckeye State Bank, 9494 Wedgewood Blvd., Powell, OH; a friend or family member may pick up a packet. Race day packet pickup is available at the Columbus Zoo.
Event policies note a no refund policy, allowed bib transfers for a fee, and restrictions on pets; strollers are allowed and service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome. Spectators must have tickets to enter Zoombezi Bay on event day and are limited to two per runner when offered.
