Run Wild 5K at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
The Run Wild 5K is scheduled for July 12, 2026 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Road, Columbus, Ohio 43065. The event features a 5K route that runs through the zoo grounds and finishes with access to the Zoombezi Bay wave pool. All participants receive same day admission to Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo.
Event entries include a unisex event shirt, an official finisher's medal, and free race photos presented by OhioHealth. Participants also receive access to a private pool party at the wave pool before Zoombezi Bay opens. Columbus Zoo members receive a 10 percent discount on event registrations. The 2026 Run Wild 5K is sold out.
Packet pickup is scheduled the days before the event at Buckeye State Bank in Powell, with race day packet pickup available at the Columbus Zoo. A friend or family member may pick up a packet for a participant. The organizer has a no refund policy; bib transfers are allowed for a fee. Strollers are permitted. Pets are not allowed; service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome.
Spectator registration will open closer to the event. Spectator tickets are limited to two per runner and are required for entry to Zoombezi Bay on event day. All attendees must pass security screening and bag checks; prohibited items may be confiscated or held by security. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
