Patriotic Memorial Run at Coldstream Park
The Run White & Blue event is a memorial race held at Coldstream Park and the Legacy Trail in North Lexington, Kentucky. This third anniversary event serves as a tribute to CPT Alan Kurre Elliott, with proceeds supporting a memorial student award at the University of Kentucky. The race features a patriotic theme and includes several participation options held on paved, flat surfaces.
Participants can choose from various distances and formats:
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed 3.1 mile course open to runners, walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs.
- 10K Run: A chip-timed 6.2 mile race consisting of a double out and back of the 5K route.
- 2 Mile Ruck/Walk: An untimed 2 mile tribute event where participants are encouraged to carry a rucksack.
- Virtual Runner/Walker: A 3.1 mile remote option for those unable to attend in person.
The 5K and 10K races provide awards for the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three in 10-year age divisions. The 10K is designated as a runners-only event; those wishing to walk are directed to the 5K or 2 mile options. A water station is positioned at the turnaround point for the 10K course. Participants receive a commemorative poly-cotton shirt and have access to race photos and post-race refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
