Course, awards and logistics
The 5K course is USATF certified and is an official Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. The route runs on open streets in front of the park; streets will be closed to traffic during the race. The start and finish share the same location in the middle of the course. The 10K follows the 5K course twice. In the 10K relay each member runs one loop and there is a relay exchange zone; relay belts are provided at packet pickup.
Awards are given to overall male and female, masters and grandmasters, and 1st to 3rd in 5-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over. Overall awards are given to the top three relay teams. Finishing medals are given to all participants. A virtual option allows participants to run the distance elsewhere; virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards or shirts. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. Lodging partners include a nearby Hampton Inn & Suites located less than 2 miles from the start.
