Run Walk to Remember
The Run Walk to Remember is a community athletic event held in Lavonia, Georgia. The race serves as a fundraiser for PruittCares - Camp Cocoon, a bereavement camp designed for children between the ages of 6 and 17. All proceeds from the registration fees are used to cover the costs of the camp, allowing children to attend at no charge.
Participants can choose from several distance options held at Weldon Memorial Park and Gazebo:
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1K Fun Run
In addition to the physical races in Georgia, virtual options for the 5K and 10K distances are available for those unable to attend in person. Virtual participants are not eligible for event t-shirts or race day awards.
The event provides a space for community members to run or walk in honor of loved ones. The route is described as a fast course, providing an opportunity for runners to pursue personal records.
