Event overview
The Run Walk to Remember is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Lavonia, Georgia. The event offers in-person and virtual options and benefits PruittCares - Camp Cocoon, a bereavement camp for children ages 6-17. All proceeds go toward offsetting camp costs and sponsoring children to attend at no cost.

Course and format
The 5K course is USATF certified and is an official Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. The course runs on open streets in front of Weldon Memorial Park and Gazebo; streets will be closed to traffic during the race. Start and finish are at the same location in the middle of the course. The 10K and the 10K relay complete the 5K course twice; each relay member runs one loop and exchanges in a designated relay zone. Relay belts are provided at packet pickup.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup and race day registration are available, and early packet pick-up is offered at the gazebo. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. Individual awards are given overall, masters, grand masters, and 5-year age groups from 10 and under to 80 and over. Relay awards are given to the first three relay teams. Finishing medals are provided to all participants. Virtual runners may submit times and are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts.
