About the race
The OHS Paws in the Park is an annual fundraising event held in Seneca, South Carolina, to support the programs of the Oconee Humane Society. The event features a lakeside course at South Cove County Park and includes two main distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 mile Walk/Run
Participants are permitted to bring well-behaved pets, provided they are kept on a short, non-retractable leash. The event also accommodates strollers and walkers, though these participants are asked to start at the rear of the group.
Registration includes a race packet containing a T-shirt and other items, provided the participant registers by the specified deadline in early September. The event concludes with a post-race party featuring music, refreshments, and an awards ceremony. Awards are presented to the first, second, and third-place overall male and female finishers in the 5 km category.
