OHS Paws in the Park 5k run & 1 mile walk
Oconee Humane Society presents a community running and walking event on September 26, 2026 at South Cove County Park, 1099 S Cove Rd, Seneca, SC. The event features a lakeside course and includes both a 5k distance and a 1 mile option.

- 1 mile walk/run
Registration opens separately for each event: the 5k opens on March 1, 2026 and the 1 mile opens on May 25, 2026. Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5k and $30 for the 1 mile. Participants who register by September 10 are guaranteed a race shirt. Race packets include a T-shirt, music, refreshments, and a post-race gathering.
Packet pickup is scheduled at South Cove County Park on Friday, September 25 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Awards for the 5k will be presented to the first, second, and third overall male and female finishers. Pets are allowed but must remain on a short leash; retractable leashes are not permitted. Strollers and walkers are welcome and are asked to start at the back of the group. The event supports Oconee Humane Society programs.
