Run / Walk / Ruck 4 Heroes takes place at and around Kingston Park in Cottage Grove, Minnesota on September 19, 2026. The event supports Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, an organization that aims to establish and sustain a community and corporate support network to connect and coordinate agencies, organizations, and resources to meet the needs of Minnesota military veterans, service members, and families across all military branches.
The event offers a mix of running, walking and ruck options. Distances and formats include:

- 10K Run/Walk
- 15K Heroe's Challenge
- 5K Ruck
- 10K Ruck
- 15K Heroe's Challenge Ruck
- 1 mile
Parking is available at Grey Cloud Elementary School and Cottage Grove Middle School. A Food Truck Festival is held at the same park as the event.
Registration periods and deadlines vary by event and fees range from $30 to $45 depending on the chosen distance and format. Shirts ordered after 8/29/25 may not be ready on race day; shirts will be delivered to addresses in Cottage Grove, Newport, Hastings and Woodbury, and others will be asked to pick them up at Cottage Grove City Hall.
