Run Today for Tomorrow, Inc. organizes a community 5K on June 27, 2026 in Ottawa, Illinois. The organization is a registered 501c3 as of December 2025. Net proceeds remain in the local area to provide financial assistance for community members, and to fund a mental health scholarship for local students in the mental health field. The event offers two participation options:
- 5K in-person, 3.1 Miles
- 5K virtual, 3.1 Miles
Registration opens January 15, 2026. The in-person event and the virtual option have different closing dates; the virtual registration remains open later. Early registration includes a reduced fee and a t-shirt guarantee for entries completed by May 27, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 26, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Small Dog Candle Co, 619 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350. There is a $10 option to have the race packet shipped to participants. T-shirt sizes available are S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL, and 4XL.
The event proceeds rain or shine. No refunds are allowed after registration is completed. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
