Run to the Taproom - Creekside Farm Brewery 5K & 8K
The Run to the Taproom takes place at Creekside Farm Brewery in King George, Virginia. This event features an off-road course through a 1000-acre farm that borders the Rappahannock River. The routes consist of well-maintained, non-technical dirt trails and some gravel sections. Participation is limited to a maximum of 250 individuals.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 8K
- 5K
The 8K is designated for runners, with a time limit of 1 hour and 40 minutes. The 5K is open to both runners and walkers, with a requested time limit of 1 hour. Both courses are chip-timed, and awards are provided for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in ten-year age groups.
Amenities for participants include a custom tech shirt, a souvenir pint glass, and free downloadable photos. Runners aged 21 and over receive one complimentary beer ticket for use at the brewery's tasting room. The event includes a post-race party featuring live music and two food trucks on site.
The race is held rain or shine, and free parking is available on the property. Dogs are permitted if they are leashed and start at the back of the group. Strollers are allowed, though the dirt and gravel terrain may not be suitable for all models. All participants must pick up their packets at the brewery on the morning of the event.
