Run To The Rock - Portland
Royal Manor of Portland AC presents the inaugural 10k mixed terrain running race. The course starts and finishes at the newly re-opened Pulpit Inn and follows a coastal and inland loop around Portland.
Runners begin with a climb to the Coastwatch Tower, then follow a newly laid gravel path along the west side of the island with views over Lyme Bay. The route cuts inland at Blacknor Point and crosses to the east side, joining the coast path through old quarries before reaching Portland Bill and finishing at Pulpit Rock. The course surface is approximately 70% off road and 30% paved. Entry is by individual entry under the Run to the Rock category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
