Run To The River 5K
The Run To The River 5K takes place in Deep River, Connecticut on September 19, 2026 as part of the Deep River Family Day celebrations. The course is USATF certified and begins at Devitt Field at the intersection of Southworth and Belmont. The route goes right onto Main Street, right onto Kirtland Street, continues toward the river as the road becomes River Street, crosses Main Street and becomes Elm Street, then turns left onto Union Street by the firehouse. At the blinking light the course takes a slight left back to Southworth at Devitt Field and finishes at the bottom of a hill through the gate at the B field near the goal post.
Entry fees for the 5K are twenty dollars for early bird registration, twenty five dollars after September 2, and thirty dollars on race day. A group rate of fifteen dollars per person applies to groups of six or more registering together by September 2. The first one hundred registrants will receive a race t shirt as part of registration.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall and to the first male and female in the following age groups: 10 years and under; 11 to 14; 15 to 18; 19 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 and over.
