The event is organized by the United Way of Auglaize County, with proceeds supporting local partner agencies and social programs. Participants can choose between several distances:
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Bling Run
- Virtual 10K and 5K options
Course and Atmosphere
The race begins and finishes on the grounds of the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, located at 500 Apollo Drive. The courses are lined with educational space facts for participants to read as they move along the route. A NASA astronaut is present at the event to assist with the start of the races and greet finishers at the conclusion of their run.
Registration and Amenities
Registered participants receive several race amenities, including a space-themed medal, a t-shirt, and Moon Pie snacks. Registration remains open until the morning of the event, though fees increase after late April. The event structure allows for flexibility; participants are permitted to transfer between distances online prior to the race day. While the event takes place at the museum, funds raised are directed toward the United Way of Auglaize County's charitable campaigns. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
