Run To Rise
The Run To Rise is a community athletics event held in Fort Worth, Texas. This inaugural edition serves as a benefit for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy Foundation of Fort Worth. The funds generated from the event support students at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy, an all-girls public college-preparatory school. These contributions assist in providing leadership programming, mentorship opportunities, and academic enrichment for future leaders.
The event takes place at the Woodshed Smokehouse on Riverfront Drive. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
The 5K course is chip-timed by Cox Racing Services. Awards are designated for the overall male and female winners, as well as masters and youth categories for those 18 and under. Age group recognition is provided in five-year increments ranging from 12 and under to 80 and over. The first 250 registered finishers across the event receive a custom finisher medal.
Registration is open to the general public, including families and coworkers. While race shirts are not included in the standard registration fee, they are available for purchase during the sign-up process. There is no early packet pickup available; instead, all participants collect their materials at the race site on the morning of the event.
