Run To Rescue : Prague, Nebraska
Run To Rescue is the 14th annual community race and run/walk that supports the Prague, Nebraska Rescue Squad. The event follows an old railroad grade along the south side of Czechland Lake west to the ghost town of Rescue, with each course finishing back at Czechland Lake. Distances offered include:
- 8 mile
- 5 KM
- 1 mile
Chip timing is provided by Precision Race Results for eligible entries. A post-race gathering offers refreshments and door prizes; participants are also entered into a post-race drawing and receive a complimentary beverage at the Beer Barrel Days beer garden.
Awards are given to the first and second place finishers in the 8 mile and 5 KM races; no medals are awarded for the 1 mile fun run. Age categories are 13 and under, 14–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59 and 60 and over.
Packet pickup is held the day before the race at the Prague Fire Hall. Mail-in registrations postmarked by July 26 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Entry fees listed in the event information are $30 per person and $20 for youth ages 10 and under; fees increase after July 26. Entries received after August 7 are not eligible for chip timing.
