Run to Rescue - 14th Annual
Run to Rescue is scheduled for August 8, 2026 at Czechland Lake in Prague, Nebraska. The event supports the Prague Rescue Squad and is held in conjunction with Prague's Beer Barrel Days.
Participants will run or walk along an old railroad corridor that follows the lake and continues west toward the ghost town of Rescue. Distance options listed for the event include:
- 8 Mile
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
All pre-registered participants who register by July 25 will receive a Run To Rescue T-shirt; entries received after that date are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to top male and female finishers in age categories. Chip timing and results will be provided by Precision Race Results LLC, Omaha, NE.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at the Prague Fire Hall, 109 S. Railway Ave., on the evening before the event and at the middle entrance of Czechland Lake under the covered picnic area on race morning. There will be no race day registrations; registration is available at packet pick-up on the Friday before the event. Refreshments and prizes will follow the race.
