Run to Rescue - 14th Annual
Run to Rescue takes place Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Czechland Lake in Prague, Nebraska. The event offers multiple distances for runners and walkers and is held in conjunction with Prague's Beer Barrel Days.
The course begins at Czechland Lake and follows the old railroad that runs along the lake and continues west toward the ghost town of Rescue. Distances offered include:
- 8 Mile
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
All pre-registered participants who register by July 25 will receive a Run To Rescue T-shirt; entries received after July 25 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Adult and youth registration categories are available, and late registration options are listed with reduced shirt availability.
Awards include medals for top male and top female finishers in age categories. Chip timing and official results are provided by Precision Race Results LLC, Omaha, NE. Packet pick-up is organized at the Prague Fire Hall and at the middle entrance of Czechland Lake under the covered picnic area on race day; there are no race-day registrations, and registration is available at packet pick-up on the Friday before the event.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Prague Rescue Squad. Refreshments and prizes are provided following the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
