Run to Remember Memorial 5K
The Run to Remember Memorial 5K is a Memorial Day noncompetitive event organized by the Nebraska Army National Guard. It is free of charge and open to anyone who wishes to participate. Participants may run, walk, or ruck the course.
The event takes place on May 16, 2026, at Zorinsky Lake Boat Ramp, Shelter #5, in Omaha, Nebraska. Packet pick-up for pre-registered participants is available Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Nebraska Army National Guard Storefront (West Omaha), 2871 S 168th St, Omaha, NE 68130, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Registration opened December 30, 2025, and closed April 24, 2026; registration is listed as closed, with same-day sign-in and registration offered at the event. T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not guaranteed for same-day registrants.
A musical performance by Sierra Niner together with the Nebraska Army National Guard's 43rd Army Band is scheduled before and after the event. The first 100 participants to cross the finish line will receive a medal. Volunteer roles include guiding runners on course, cheering, directing parking, and distributing water; volunteers are provided a free race t-shirt.
