Run-to-Read
Run-to-Read is a walk/run presented as part of the Trinity River Book Festival. The event supports literacy programs, promotes health and fitness, and highlights reading and the literary arts. It takes place at Trinity Park Pavilion #1, 2201 West 7th Street, Fort Worth, TX.
The event features multiple course options:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Packet pickup is available in the days before the event at The Dock Bookshop (6637 Meadowbrook Dr, Fort Worth) and on the day of the event at Trinity Park up to shortly before each race. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by July 1, 2026. A late registration fee schedule begins on September 9.
Awards are given for the 5K, including overall master male and female and age-group awards for both males and females (age brackets include 13 & under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & over). Team awards include Largest Team and Fastest Team. Results will be chip-timed by Cox Racing Services.
The event is described as suitable for individuals, families, clubs, and social groups, and includes additional activities such as a live DJ and family-oriented programming to accompany the run/walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
