Event Overview

Run-to-Read is a community event hosted as part of the Trinity River Book Festival. It is a walk and run that supports literacy programs and celebrates National Literacy Month. The event is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at Trinity Park Pavilion #1, located at 2201 West 7th Street in Fort Worth, Texas.

Distances

Participants can choose from two distances:

5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Registration Details

A late registration fee schedule begins on September 9, 2026. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by July 1, 2026.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is available in advance at The Dock Bookshop on Meadowbrook Drive in Fort Worth. It is also available on race day at Trinity Park, starting at 8:00 AM.

Awards and Timing

The 5K features awards for overall master male and female winners, as well as age group awards three places deep for categories from 13 & under to 60 & over. There are also team awards for the largest and fastest teams. Results will be chip-timed by Cox Racing Services.
