Run Thru Reston
Run Thru Reston is the 13th annual race event scheduled for April 26, 2026, at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA. The event includes two race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The courses run on paved trails with some rolling hills. Both races start and finish on the track at South Lakes High School. The course will be marked and supported by volunteers. Course support includes water and Gatorade stations and porta-potties for the half marathon.
Organizers provide packet pick up the day before the race at South Lakes High School. Runners and volunteers receive a technical race shirt and other packet items at pick up; shirts were guaranteed to participants who registered by April 1, 2025. An extensive post-race feast is provided for participants and volunteers. Pets and strollers are not allowed on the course.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, with an under 15 category noted for the 5K.
