The Run Thru Reston takes place on April 26, 2026 in Reston, VA. It is organized by the Reston Runners and is held at South Lakes High School, with both races starting and finishing on the school track.

Course and logistics
The course uses paved trails with some rolling hills. The course will be marked and staffed with volunteers. Pets and strollers are not allowed on the course. Porta-potties are provided for the Half Marathon. Race-course water and Gatorade will be available. A post-race meal is provided for participants and volunteers.
Packet pick up is scheduled at South Lakes High School on the day before the race. Race shirts and other items are distributed at packet pick up. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by April 1, 2025. All registration must be completed online; there is no paper race-day registration.
Registration, awards and timing
Listed registration fee ranges are: Half Marathon $85 to $100, 5K $40 to $50, depending on registration date. Half Marathon participants receive a custom bib, commemorative technical shirt, car seat cover, and finisher medal. 5K participants receive a custom bib, technical shirt, and finisher medal. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top three male and female in age groups from Under 15 (5K only) through 80 & Over.
