Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K
The Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2027 at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA. The event offers the following distances:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 5K
The course uses paved trails and includes some rolling hills. The route will be well marked and supported by volunteers, with race-course water and Gatorade along the way. Both races begin and finish on the track at South Lakes High School. Pets and strollers are not allowed on the course.
Support and amenities include porta-potties for the half marathon, packet pick up the day before the race at South Lakes High School (Saturday, April 24, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm), and a post-race feast for participants and volunteers. Runners and volunteers receive a technical race shirt and other items at packet pick up.
Registration uses tiered fees that increase by date. Sample fees: Half Marathon: $85 through November 30; $90 December 1-31; $95 January 1-March 31; $100 from April 1 through race day. 5K: $40 through November 30; $45 December 1-31; $50 from January 1 through race day. All registration must be completed online; there is no paper or on-site paper registration.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups, including an Under 15 category for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
