Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K
The Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026. It is the 13th annual event hosted by Reston Runners. The races include a half marathon and a 5K. Both races start and finish on the track at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia.
The racecourse features some rolling hills and uses paved trails. The course is marked, and volunteers provide support along the route. Pets and strollers are not allowed on the course. For participants, the event provides:
- A technical race shirt
- A custom bib
- A finisher medal
Registration must be completed online. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at South Lakes High School and on race day starting at 6:00 AM at the same location. An extensive post-race feast is provided for all participants and volunteers. Course support includes water and Gatorade stations, porta-potties for the half marathon, and volunteers.
Awards are given for both races. They go to the top three overall male and female winners and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
