Run Through the Pines : Event overview
The Run Through the Pines takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Lake Gregory in Crestline, CA (24640 San Moritz Drive). The event offers the following distances:

- 10K
The course runs around Lake Gregory and through a pine tree forest on a semi-paved surface at approximately 4,720 feet elevation. Race day staging is at the San Moritz Lodge “Meadow” area near the Lake Gregory Company bait and tackle shop. This is the 47th edition; the first event was held in 1979. The event is hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District and the Lake Gregory Company.
Registration, timing, awards and amenities
Organizers prefer online pre-registration but permit same-day registration onsite. Registration fees are tiered: $40 until April 30, $50 from May 1 to August 7, and $60 for same-day registration. Run T-shirts are available for purchase at $20 and are not included with registration.
Timing is RFID chip timed by ITZ ABOUT TIME. Awards include top three overall trophies and age-division awards three deep across age categories from 10 & under through 80 plus. Additional on-site features include music, water, post-race refreshments, onsite parking at San Moritz Lodge and Lake Gregory lots, and volunteer-supported aid stations and course marshals.
