Event overview
Run Through the Pines is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Lake Gregory in Crestline, California. This is the 47th edition of the event. It offers the following distances:

The course runs around Lake Gregory and through a pine tree forest on a semi-paved surface at about 4,720 feet elevation. Race day staging is at the San Moritz Lodge "Meadow" area near the Lake Gregory Company bait and tackle shop. The event is described as a mountain community destination run and is open to runners and walkers, children in strollers, pets on a leash, and teams or groups.
Registration, timing and logistics
Organizers prefer online pre-registration; same-day registration is available onsite on August 8. Registration fees are listed as: $40 until April 30, $50 from May 1 to August 7, and $60 for same-day registration. Run T-shirts are not included and are available for $20 each.
The race uses RFID chip timing provided by ITZ ABOUT TIME. Awards include top three overall trophies and age-division awards three deep across standard age groups. Additional on-site features include music, water, and post-race refreshments. Parking is offered onsite at the San Moritz Lodge and in Lake Gregory parking lots; parking is not allowed in the Crest Forest Senior Citizens area. The event is hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District and the Lake Gregory Company. Volunteers are requested for race-day roles.
