Run Through History 5K
The Run Through History 5K is scheduled for May 9, 2026, in Cape May, New Jersey. The event takes place at Lafayette Street Park, 711 Lafayette St., and the 5K course begins and ends at the park. The course is described as flat and fast and runs through Cape May’s historic district and coastal areas.
The route passes a range of local landmarks, including Southern Mansion, the Emlen Physick Estate, Kiwanis Park, Chalfonte Hotel, Mainstay Inn, Soldiers and Sailors Park, Victorian homes on Hughes Street, the Firemen’s Museum, and the Harriet Tubman Museum, among others. Timing for the 5K is chip timed by Delmo Pro.
Participants receive a commemorative race shirt and finisher recognition. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, overall masters (55 years and older) male and female, and by age group. Parking is available at Cape May Elementary School, 921 Lafayette St. Packet pick up is offered the week prior at 110 Ocean St. and at Lafayette Street Park on the day of the event.
