Run the Vineyards - Rocklands Farm 5K
Run the Vineyards - Rocklands Farm 5K is a 5K running event held at Rocklands Farm Winery in Poolesville, Maryland. The course runs through vineyard and farm terrain and uses a well groomed cross country style layout with a combination of hard packed dirt, gravel, and grass trails. The race is chip timed with instant results and the course is professionally marked with hydration stations and volunteer support.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to age group winners in categories including Ages 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29 and every 10 years thereafter. Walkers and children may participate but must be registered; walkers start behind the runners for safety. A one hour time limit is requested for participants on course.
Post race amenities at the winery include wines available for drinking, tastings, and sales, a complimentary drink ticket for participants over 21, live music until noon, and a food truck on site. Event swag includes a custom tech shirt in multiple sizes with an optional long sleeve upgrade for an extra fee, a souvenir wine glass, and optional finisher medals available for purchase.
