Event Overview
The Run the Vineyards - Pindar Vineyards 5K is an annual summer running event held at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic, New York. The course takes participants through a 500-acre property situated on the North Fork Wine Trail. The event features a chip-timed race that travels directly through the vineyard vines.
Participants have access to various amenities and post-race activities:
- 5K: A chip-timed distance through the vineyard property.
The course includes a water station and is supported by course volunteers. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers as well as the top three finishers in specific age categories for both male and female participants. Results are made available immediately at the finish line and online.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a custom tech shirt, with options for men's/unisex, women's, or youth sizes. A stemless wine glass is also included with registration. Refreshments provided at the finish line include water and bananas.
The event permits both runners and walkers, with the requirement that all walkers start behind the runners for safety. There is a one-hour time limit for the course. Registration is required for all participants on the course, including children.
The venue offers free parking for attendees. Spectators are permitted on the property. Following the race, an after-party is held at the pavilion and picnic areas featuring a live musician and on-site food trucks. Participants aged 21 and older receive a complimentary glass of wine.
