Run the Valley
Run the Valley is an annual community road race organized by the Golden Valley Community Services Commission. The event serves as a fundraiser; proceeds are allocated to local human service organizations. The 31st edition is scheduled for April 18, 2026, and the course begins and ends at Brookview Golden Valley.
The event program includes multiple distances and a children’s fun run:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 0.2K Kids Fun Run
Registration options include online, in person at Brookview Guest Services, and by mail. Registrations must be received by April 17 for advance entry; race day registration is available at Brookview. Payment options accepted with registration include cash in person, check, and major credit cards.
Volunteering opportunities are available along the outdoor race route. Course helper duties include directing runners and walkers as assigned by public safety personnel, staffing water tables, and assisting with course cleanup. A course map and event entry form are provided by the organizer for participants and volunteers.
