Run The Town Pink 5K and 1 Mile Walk : Manistee, MI
This event on October 3, 2026 features a community 5K run and a 1 Mile Remembrance Walk in Manistee, Michigan. The course follows scenic stretches along First Street Beach and continues through downtown, with the start and finish located near the Manistee Municipal Marina.

The 1 Mile Walk includes a short ceremony with a prayer led by a chaplain to honor those who are fighting, who have survived, or who have died from cancer. Participants are encouraged to wear pink to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Timing for the 5K is unofficial. A clock will be present at the start and finish but participants are encouraged to record their own times for greater accuracy. Finishers receive a medal. There are no age group awards.
Packet and bib pickup is available the day of the event from 8:00 AM until 8:45 AM. An additional pickup opportunity is scheduled for Friday, October 2, from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM at the Manistee Hospital Community Health Center, 1345 E. Parkdale Ave, Manistee, MI 49660. Registration opens August 1, 2026 and remains open through October 3, 2026 to allow same-day signups. The registration fee is $30.00.
All net proceeds benefit Paint the Town Pink, a local program supporting breast cancer patients and their families. The event lists specific community-funded enhancements to breast health services and equipment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
