About the race
Run the Pier Running Festival is a set of road and pier running events held along the Manistee lakeshore in Manistee, Michigan, at 250 Duffy Park. Courses include a section out onto Manistee’s North Pier that circles the lighthouse and returns along the shoreline, with portions of the longer courses following Lakeshore Drive for lake views.
Race distances:
- 5K : run or walk permitted
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- Full Marathon (26.2 Miles)
The festival offers 600 total finisher awards. Every registered athlete receives an official event T-shirt and additional swag items that will be announced later. Food trucks are on site with breakfast and lunch options for athletes, families, and spectators.
Course maps for the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K wind along Lakeshore Drive and will be published once finalized; route information will also be shared through participant newsletters. The event attracts participants from outside the area, with over 600 out of town athletes reported in previous years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
