Courses and logistics

Distances:

  • 10k (6.2 miles)
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

Both races start near Copper Mountain and follow the paved recreation path through Ten Mile Canyon toward Frisco. The 10k course is 100% downhill; the half marathon is approximately 75% downhill and follows a lollipop loop that returns to Frisco. The half marathon route passes behind CommonSpirit St. Anthony Summit Hospital, goes through the Hwy 9 pedestrian tunnel, passes Frisco Adventure Park and the Frisco Nordic Center, and includes a new 0.15 mile dirt singletrack connector near the County Commons.

Racers drive to Copper Mountain Far East Parking Lot for the start. A shuttle service operates after the race to return runners to their cars. Early bib pick-up is available at Frisco Town Hall the day before and the morning of the race.

Services, safety and awards

Aid stations supply Skratch Labs hydration mix, water and snacks; the 10k has one aid station and the half marathon has four at specified miles. Professional timing is provided. All finishers receive a finisher gift. Overall and age-category prizes are awarded for male and female placements. The race takes place on public recreation paths; participants run at their own risk and organizers may cancel or postpone for inclement weather.
