Run the River for Respect 5K is an officially timed 5-kilometre race held on September 27, 2026 in Ottawa, Illinois. The event is presented by the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
Location and registration
The course takes place along the Park Run by Heritage Harbor. The event address is 411 Great Loop E, Ottawa, IL, and participants are directed to park in the lot at the Bluegill Boathouse (411 Great Loop E Dr.). The registration fee schedule is: $30 for registrations before August 27; $35 for registrations after August 27; $40 after September 12; and $45 on the day of the event. Participants who register by September 12 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Results are officially timed and posted after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
