Run the Ravine 5K
Run the Ravine 5K is an annual event held by St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul, Minnesota, typically in late September or early October. The route begins and ends at SCLA and winds through Thompson and Kaposia Parks, passing through Simon's Ravine. The trail through Kaposia Park is fully paved and runs through wooded areas.
The event program includes multiple distances and youth activities:
- 5K through Thompson and Kaposia Parks
- 1/2 mile kids fun run on the newly resurfaced SCLA track
Awards are given by age divisions, with medals for top male and female finishers in each division. Kids receive medals for top boy and girl finishes and a commemorative ribbon for all participants. All event participants receive a commemorative t shirt and a car sticker. Dogs on leashes are allowed on the course.
Registration options include same day registration, though event t shirts are not guaranteed for same day registrants. Individuals and organizations may register as Sideline Supporters or as Gold, Silver, or Bronze sponsors; supporters and sponsors receive a t shirt. Proceeds support the SCLA Activities Department, and the school’s cross country team assists with event volunteer duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
