Run the Ravine 5K
The Run the Ravine 5K is an annual event hosted by St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul, MN. The race typically takes place in late September or early October and follows a route that begins and ends at SCLA.
The course winds through Thompson and Kaposia Parks and passes through Simon's Ravine. Part of the route is a well maintained, fully paved trail that runs through wooded sections of Kaposia Park. Dogs on leashes are permitted on the course. A separate kids fun run takes place on the newly resurfaced track at SCLA.

- 5 km race through park and ravine areas
- Half mile kids fun run on the SCLA track
Awards and participant items are part of the event. Medals are awarded to top finishers across age divisions including 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 plus. Top boys and girls in the kids race receive medals and all children receive a commemorative ribbon. All participants receive a commemorative t shirt and a car sticker. The event accepts group registration and same day registration, and there are opportunities to register as Sideline Supporters or to sponsor at Gold, Silver, or Bronze levels.
