Run the Quay - Fuquay-Varina, NC
Run the Quay is a community road race held in downtown Fuquay-Varina with both live and virtual participation options. Packet pickup is available in advance at Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall Grounds; race day check-in is offered for those who did not attend advanced pickup. There is no race day registration.

- 10K race
- 15 Quay Challenge
- WakeMed Children's Twinkle Dash, 50-yard and 100-yard (ages 10 and under)
- Virtual 5K and 10K options
The children's Twinkle Dash is presented by WakeMed Children's and sponsored by AOK Training; entry is $10 per child with proceeds benefiting WakeMed Children's. The 2026 Run the Quay is sponsored by CDT Automotive. Virtual races run from May 29 to June 18 and are not eligible for time-based awards; 15 Quay Challenge finisher medals are awarded only to live participants. Race shirts and finisher medals are included when registration is completed before announced swag cutoffs. Fuquay-Varina town code prohibits animals at town-sponsored events and on town property and this restriction will be enforced.
The event is produced by Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce staff and a volunteer committee and is the Chamber's largest annual fundraiser. Each year a charity partner is selected to receive a percentage of proceeds. The Chamber's stated mission is to build and sustain a vibrant local economy and a sustainable business environment.
