Cape Fear Holiday Run in Lillington, NC
The Cape Fear Holiday Run is a timed trail event held at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina. The course is a loop of 1.17 miles that mixes trail surfaces with a short paved section. Timed options are available for 9-hour, 6-hour, and 3-hour efforts.
Event logistics include ample parking and space for participants to set up a personal aid station near the start and finish. Organizers provide a single, central aid station stocked with water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a selection of snacks. To reduce waste, the event is cup-less; participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs. A limited supply of disposable cups will be available.
All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each timed event, plus a special award for the participant showing the most holiday spirit. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing. Portable toilets will be onsite in 2026, and permanent restrooms are planned for the future.
This event is a fundraiser and proceeds are donated to the Harnett Food Pantry, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Registrations submitted by November 10, 2026 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
