Cape Fear Holiday Run - December 13, 2025

The first annual Cape Fear Holiday Run takes place at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina. The event is a timed trail race run on a loop of 1.17-mile that includes trail surface with a short paved section. The event format uses electronic timing provided by Clockwork Race Timing.

Format, facilities and rules

The event offers the following timed events:

9-hour timed event
6-hour timed event
3-hour timed event

One on-course aid station will provide water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. The event is cup-less; participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs. Limited disposable cups will be available. There is ample parking and space for participants to set up a personal aid station near the start/finish. Porta-potties will be available on site in 2025; permanent restroom facilities are planned for the future.

All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each timed event, plus a special award for holiday attire. Registration opens January 1, 2025 and closes December 10, 2025 (11:59 PM ET). All proceeds will be donated to the Harnett Food Pantry.
