Cape Fear Holiday Run - Lillington, NC
The Cape Fear Holiday Run is a timed trail running event held at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina. The course is a 1.17-mile loop that combines natural trail with a short paved section and is used for multi-hour timed efforts.
Timed formats offered include nine hour, six hour, and three hour events. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing. There is one central aid station supplying water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. The event is cup-less to reduce waste; participants are asked to use reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs, with a limited supply of disposable cups available.
Parking and space for personal aid stations near the start and finish are available. Porta-potties will be on site in 2026 and permanent restroom facilities are planned for the future. Every participant who crosses the finish line receives a finisher medal. Special awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each timed event, and there is an award for the participant showing the most holiday spirit.
All proceeds from the event are donated to the Harnett Food Pantry. Registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Registrations received by November 10, 2026 are guaranteed a t shirt and registration closes December 10, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
