Event Overview
Run the Plank is an athletic event held in Macomb Township, Michigan. The primary course is a 5K route that follows the east side of Romeo Plank Road. The race begins at Immanuel Lutheran Church and proceeds approximately three miles north, finishing at St. Peter Lutheran Church on 24 Mile Road.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K event is open to runners, joggers, and walkers. Strollers are permitted on the course, though pets are not allowed to participate. The 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on the grounds of St. Peter Lutheran Church following the completion of the longer race. No registration is required for the shorter fun run.
Registered participants receive a technical T-shirt and a finisher medal with a lanyard. The event also includes a pasta meal during packet pick-up on the Friday before the race, as well as access to a fitness fair featuring food and beverages on race day. Attendees park at the finish location at St. Peter Lutheran Church, where shuttle buses provide transportation to the starting line at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
