Event overview
The Run The Path is a chip timed 10k held in Mc Nabb, Illinois, starting and finishing at Putnam County Junior High School, 13183 N 350th Ave, Mc Nabb, IL 61335. The course is USATF certified (IL23015NM) and follows an out-and-back route on paved county roads. The route includes a mix of hills and flat sections and passes through rural scenery where participants may see deer, turkey, and eagles. Post-race food and beverages are provided.
Course and race details
Water stations are available on the course. Strollers and walkers are permitted; headphones are not allowed. Volunteers will be posted at each mile marker and at intersections for traffic control, but the course remains open to local traffic. Emergency crew coverage is available and the course has a two-hour time limit. A race sweatshirt is guaranteed to participants who pre-register by October 11, 2026; after that date, a sweatshirt is not guaranteed. Online registrants who are members of Starved Rock Runners, Lake Run Club, Prairie State Road Runners, or Springfield Road Runners receive a $4 club discount.
