Run the Land - East vs West
Run the Land - East vs West is a multi-distance running event held in Cleveland, Ohio. The event starts and finishes at Great Lakes Brewing and features a variety of course lengths. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Marathon
- 20 mile
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The courses are marked and utilize city sidewalks. This is a "rules of the road" event, meaning roads are not closed to traffic and runners must follow all standard traffic laws. To ensure accuracy, participants are timed using the RaceJoy GPS tracking app, which provides official finish times and off-course alerts. A jumbo clock is also present at the finish line. Aid stations are positioned every 3 miles for the Half Marathon, 20 mile, and Marathon routes.
Registration includes a runner bib and a post-run peer from Great Lakes Brewery. Participants also receive a pint glass. The event includes a charitable component where runners can nominate and select a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to benefit from their registration. There is also a friendly "East vs West" competition where runners choose a side at checkout, with the winning team earning a specific shirt color.
