Event details
The Run the Cove Half Marathon & 10K takes place on March 28, 2026, in Owens Cross Roads, AL (261-A Old Highway 431). The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Entry fees listed are $75 for the half marathon and $40 for the 10K. Prices increase after December 31, 2025. The event is chip-timed, has a 4-hour time limit for the half marathon, a minimum age of 12 years, and a participant cap for the first 500 registrants. Entry includes race registration, a race shirt, a finisher's medal, and post-race food. All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Course and logistics
The half marathon course starts on the Hays Nature Preserve Greenway, runs to Old 431, passes ballfields and through an underpass tunnel, follows the ponds path and Hampton Cove neighborhoods, and returns to the greenway. The 10K course is certified. Water and Powerade will be available at aid stations approximately at miles 3.5, 6, 9, and 12 for the half, and around mile 5 for the 10K. GU will be available at mile 6. Portable toilets are located at mile 1.5, mile 6, and near the school. Packet pick-up is at Fleet Feet Huntsville on Friday (midday to evening) with late packet pick-up on race morning at the starting area.
