Blair Castle Trail Weekender
Blair Castle Trail Weekender runs from 29 to 31 May 2026 and is the sixth edition of this trail running festival. The event is staged within the grounds of Blair Castle on the Atholl Estate at the base of the Cairngorm national park. Races and festival activities take place from the event village inside the castle grounds.
Race options cover a range of distances and formats:
- 58 km Full Tilt Ultra, 2000 m elevation over two Munros.
- 32 km reaches heights of 1000 m and includes the summit of Bein Dearg.
- 21 km varied terrain with forest, river, rolling hills and mountain scenes.
- 13 km a shorter trail distance.
- 7 km the shortest race of the weekend.
- Kids Fun Run for ages 3 and older.
Depending on the chosen race, courses include loops past Hercules Gardens, routes up Glen Tilt, and approaches toward the 1009 m summit of Ben Dearg. All running entries include access to the festival village for the whole weekend. The festival programme features camping, outdoor cinema, talks, workshops, live music on Saturday evening, yoga sessions and guided trail runs.
