Event overview
The Run Northumberland Rothbury Winter 10k 2026 takes place in Rothbury on 27th December 2026. The race is a certified, measured 10K road course on an undulating route. The course starts at the Middle School, includes a downhill first mile, follows Whitton Bank Road to join Carterside Road, and is an out-and-back that turns before Little Tosson, finishing at Riverside Park. The race is chip timed, with timing provided by Timing4Sport.
Entries, facilities and prizes
Entries are limited to 300 and close on 26th December 2026. Entry fees are £23 for affiliated runners and £25 for unaffiliated runners. Minimum age is 15. Race headquarters are at Riverside Park with registration at Silverton Lane, Rothbury (NE65 7JU). Facilities listed include bag drop at the finish line, toilets near registration and the finish on Bridge Street, first aid, parking, and refreshments. There is a water station at 5 km and distance markers every kilometre.
All finishers receive a medal. Individual vouchers are awarded to the top three male and female finishers (£50, £30, £20 respectively). Veteran and team prize rules apply - veteran categories and team scoring require minimum numbers to qualify, and team members must wear a UKA registered club vest.
