Run Northumberland Rothbury Winter 10k : 27 December 2026
This is a certified, measured road race of 10 km held in Rothbury on 27 December 2026. The course is chip timed and Timing4Sport provide the timing. The route is described as undulating and is traffic free with marshal control.
The course starts at the Middle School. The first mile is downhill before the route follows Whitton Bank Road to join Carterside Road on an out and back layout, turning before Little Tosson and finishing at Riverside Park. Distance markers are provided every kilometre and there is a water station at 5 km.
Event facilities include the race headquarters at Riverside Park and registration at Silverton Lane, Rothbury NE65 7JU. Bag drop is at the finish line and toilets are located near registration and the finish on Bridge Street. Changing facilities, parking, first aid and refreshments are listed as available on race day. The minimum age to enter is 15.
Entries are limited to 300 places. Affiliated entries are priced from £23.00 and unaffiliated entries from £25.00, with entries closing on 26 December 2026. Prizes include a finisher medal and vouchers for top finishers in the overall and veteran categories, and team prizes where conditions are met.
