Event details
The Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k takes place on 14th June 2026 in Bamburgh, on the Northumberland coast. The event distance is 10K on an undulating, accurately measured road course that starts and finishes near the village and offers views of Bamburgh Castle. The route is traffic free with a full road closure and will be listed on the World Athletics road race calendar for world rankings. Chip timing is used and results are published based on gun time.
Logistics and prizes
Entries are limited to 100 and close on 8th June 2026. Entry fees are £18 (affiliated) and £20 (unaffiliated); an early-bird reduction of £5 applies for the first entries as stated. Minimum age is 15. Race headquarters and registration are at the Cricket Pavilion, with bag drop and toilets on site and parking at Links Car Park. Water is provided at 5 km and distance markers appear every 1 km.
All finishers receive a medal and an optional race t-shirt is available at extra cost. Individual overall prizes include trophies and vouchers for the top three men and women. Age-group prizes are awarded in five-year bands (women from 35+, men from 40+) subject to minimum numbers. Team prizes use the positions of the first three club runners; a club vest is required to qualify. Performance bonuses and a course-record bonus are listed.
