Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10K 2026

The Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10K is a road running event set in the coastal village of Bamburgh. The course follows an undulating route on the Northumberland coast, offering views of the historic Bamburgh Castle. The race is conducted on a closed road circuit and is included on the World Athletics road race calendar for World rankings.

The event features a single distance:

The route is accurately measured and utilizes chip timing for all participants. The start and finish lines are located just outside of the village. For participant convenience, water stations are situated at the 5 km mark, and distance markers are placed at every 1 km interval. The event has an entry limit of 1000 runners and requires participants to be at least 15 years old.

Race headquarters and registration are located at the Cricket Pavilion, where participants can also find bag drop services and toilets. Additional toilets are available at the nearby car park, and parking is provided at the Links Car Park. All finishers receive a medal, and there is an option to purchase a race t-shirt. Individual and team prizes are awarded based on gun time results, including specific categories for veteran age groups and UKA affiliated clubs.
