Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k 2026
The event is a 10K road race held in Bamburgh on 14 June 2026. The course is an accurately measured, undulating, closed-road circuit on the Northumberland coast with views of Bamburgh Castle. Chip timing will be used and distance markers are provided every 1 km. There is a water station at 5 km. All finishers receive a medal and an optional race T-shirt is available for an extra cost.
Entry and event details
Entries are limited to 1,000 participants and close on 8 June 2026. Entry fees are listed as £24 for affiliated runners and £26 for unaffiliated runners. Minimum age to enter is 15. Race headquarters and registration are at the Cricket Pavilion in Bamburgh. Bag drop, toilets and refreshments are available at the pavilion. Parking is at the Links Car Park, Links Road. Chip timing uses a foam strip under the race number; official finishing positions are based on gun time.
Course records and prizes
Current course records listed are 28:54 for men (2024) and 36:13 for women (2016). Individual prizes include trophies and vouchers for top finishers, age-group prizes in five-year bands (subject to minimum entrants), and team prizes for UKA-affiliated clubs. Performance bonuses are offered for specific sub-time finishes and there is a cash prize for new course records. Cut-off guidance for a 10K is 1 hour 30 minutes.
