The Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k takes place on 14 June 2026 in Bamburgh, Northumberland. The route is an accurately measured, undulating road course on the Northumberland coast with views of Bamburgh Castle. The race is held on a traffic-free, closed-road circuit and will appear on the World Athletics road race calendar for world rankings. Chip timing is used; official finishing positions are based on gun time, while chip time is provided for personal records. The minimum age to enter is 15. Distance markers are placed every 1 km and there is a water station at 5 km.
Logistics, entries and prizes
Race headquarters and registration are at the Cricket Pavilion, Bamburgh. Facilities include bag drop, toilets, changing, first aid and parking in the Links Car Park. Entries are limited to 100. Entry fees listed are £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unaffiliated runners; early bird pricing is noted for the first 100 entries. All finishers receive a medal and an optional race T-shirt is available for an extra cost. Individual prizes include trophies and vouchers for the top three male and female finishers. Age-group prizes are awarded in five-year bands with a minimum of five finishers required to qualify. Team prizes require runners to wear an official club vest.
