Event overview
The Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k takes place in Bamburgh on 14 June 2026. The event is a road race over 10K on an accurately measured, undulating coastal route that starts and finishes just outside the village and offers views of Bamburgh Castle. The course will be a closed road circuit with full road closure from start to finish and will be listed on the World Athletics road race calendar for world rankings. The minimum age for entry is 15.
Race details
Entry is limited to 100 runners. Entry fees are £24.00 for affiliated runners and £26.00 for unaffiliated runners. Entries close on 8 June 2026. Chip timing will be used; official finishing positions are based on gun time, with chip times available for personal use. All finishers receive a medal; an optional race T-shirt is available at extra cost.
Support and facilities listed for race day include race headquarters at the Cricket Pavilion (The Pavilion, Castle Green, Bamburgh NE69 7DF), registration and bag drop at the pavilion, toilets at the pavilion and the car park, parking at Links Car Park, a water station at 5 km, and distance markers every 1 km. Course records are listed as 28:54 for men (2024) and 36:13 for women (2016). Prizes include trophies and vouchers for top finishers, age-group prizes, team prizes for UKA affiliated clubs, and performance bonuses for specific sub-times.
