Event overview

The Run Newcastle Valentines Half-Marathon takes place on 15th February 2026 around Newcastle’s Town Moor, using Exhibition Park as race HQ. The course is officially measured and holds a Run Britain licence. The route is traffic-free, on mainly tarmac road surfaces, and is described as flat; the half marathon covers just over four laps of the measured circuit. The event supports the charity LiveLifeGiveLife, with £1 from each T-shirt sale donated to that charity.

Race details

Entries are limited to 300 and close on 11th February 2026. Entry fees are listed as £28 for affiliated runners and £30 for unaffiliated runners; on-the-day entries are accepted as cash only. The minimum entry age is 17. Chip timing is used and distance markers are provided every mile, with water stations approximately every 3 miles. Race HQ and registration are at Exhibition Park, Claremont Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4PZ, with registration located at Wylam Brewery, Palace of Arts, Exhibition Park. Prizes include a finisher medal and monetary awards for the first three male and female finishers, and team prizes where three scorers form a qualifying team.
