Run Newcastle Valentines

Run Newcastle Valentines is a set of road races held on 15th February 2026 around Newcastle’s Town Moor with an officially measured course and a Run Britain licence. The event is centred at Exhibition Park, Claremont Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4PZ, with Race HQ and registration based at Wylam Brewery, Palace of Arts.

The programme includes these distances:

  • Half-Marathon - just over four laps of the 5 km course
  • 10K - two laps of the 5 km course
  • 5K - one lap of the course
  • 5K Couples Relay - each runner completes one lap

All courses are traffic free and run mainly on tarmac paths across the Town Moor. The routes are described as flat; distance markers are provided (every mile for the half-marathon, every kilometre for the shorter races). Chip timing is used. Water stations are placed at regular intervals: the half-marathon has stations approximately every 3 miles, the 10K has water at 5 km and the finish, and shorter races have water at the finish.

Entry details vary by race with different affiliated and unaffiliated fees and specific entry limits and minimum ages (examples: half-marathon minimum age 17, 10K minimum age 15, 5K and relay minimum age 11). Entries close on 11th February 2026 and on-day entries are listed as cash only where available. Prizes include finisher medals, individual placings with cash awards in some races, and team prizes that require club vests to count.
