Event overview
The Run Newcastle Valentines 5K takes place on 15th February 2026 at Newcastle’s Town Moor. The course is traffic-free, mainly on tarmac paths, and is described as flat; each runner completes one lap. The event holds a Run Britain licence and uses chip timing. The minimum age is 11.
Race information
Race headquarters and registration are at Exhibition Park, Claremont Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4PZ. Bag drop and toilets are located by the entrance from Exhibition Park to the Town Moor. Distance markers are provided every kilometre and bottled water is available at the finish line. Parking is at Claremont Road Car Park.
Entry is limited to 125 runners. Affiliated entries are £14.00 and unaffiliated entries £16.00; entries close on 11th February 2026 and on-the-day entry is cash only. Finishers receive a medal. Individual prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall (£30, £20, £10 respectively). Team prizes require three scoring members and a minimum of three teams to qualify.
