Run Newcastle Valentines Half Marathon 2026
The Run Newcastle Valentines Half Marathon takes place on Newcastle's Town Moor. The course is officially measured and holds a full Run Britain license. It is a flat, fast route held on traffic-free tarmac paths.
The half marathon distance consists of just over four laps of a measured 5 km loop. The event is held under UK Athletics rules.
Event Information
- The race starts and finishes at Exhibition Park on Claremont Road.
- Registration takes place at the Wylam Brewery in the Palace of Arts, Exhibition Park.
- A bag drop and toilets are available at the Race HQ.
- Parking is available at Claremont Road Car Park.
- There are water stations every 3 miles and distance markers every mile.
- The event uses chip timing.
- The entry limit is 300 participants.
- The minimum age for entry is 17.
Entry & Prizes
Entry fees are £28 for affiliated runners and £30 for unaffiliated runners. Entries close on 11th February 2026. A finisher medal is awarded to all participants. Cash prizes are awarded for the top three overall male and female finishers: £50 for first, £30 for second, and £20 for third. There are also team prizes for the first men's and women's teams.
