The course begins with the first couple of kilometres downhill, followed by about 1.5 km flat, then approximately 4.5 km of twisty, uphill running and a final flat 2 km to the finish. Road closures will be in place for the event. Music and entertainment are provided on the start and finish line and at motivation stations along the route. Baggage facilities are located on the Town Moor; baggage labels are provided on race numbers.
Entries, eligibility and services
Entries are open to runners aged 15 and over on the day of the event. Saver and final entry prices are listed at £35 and £40 respectively, with a booking fee of £3.00 applied at checkout; the saver price ends on 15 December. Race numbers with timing chips are posted 1-2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries may collect numbers from the Town Moor information point. The event partners with the Newcastle United Foundation and offers a special black and white wave. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
