Run Like Hell 5K - Rochester
Run Like Hell is a Halloween themed 5K held on October 24, 2026, starting from Johnny's Irish Pub and routed through the streets of Irondequoit. Proceeds benefit Sunset House in Irondequoit.
The event offers a longsleeve Halloween shirt as a giveaway, with an option to decline the giveaway for a reduced fee. To guarantee a longsleeve shirt size, registration must be completed by October 1. Registration opens March 27, 2026 and closes October 22, 2026. Entry fee is $35 through the end of September and $38 during October.
Along the course there are candy stops where participants can collect candy in place of water stops. Participants who plan to collect candy are asked to bring a bag. Costumes are strongly encouraged. The event includes a timed team option called the 6-pack, where six runners run tied together; teams receive a string at packet pickup. Prizes include a $100 Johnny's gift card for the fastest 6-pack and a $100 Johnny's gift card for the Best Dressed Team.
Awards are given to the top male and female in each age group 0 to 14, 15 to 19, and five year groups from 20 through 75 plus, plus 1st through 3rd overall male and female winners. Packet pickup is Friday October 23, 12:00 to 18:00 at Rochester Running Company, and Saturday October 24, 14:00 to 14:45 at Johnny's Pub.
