Run Like Hell 5K - Rochester
Run Like Hell is a Halloween themed 5K held in Rochester at 1382 Culver Rd. The route starts at Johnny's Irish Pub and goes through nearby Irondequoit streets. Proceeds benefit the local charity Sunset House in Irondequoit.
The event includes candy stops along the course where participants can collect candy; runners who plan to Trick or Treat are asked to bring a bag. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Participants can choose a longsleeve Halloween shirt as a giveaway or opt out of the giveaway to reduce the fee. Register by October 1 to guarantee shirt size.
Teams can run as a tied together six person group called a 6-pack; teams should alert organizers at packet pickup to receive a string. Prizes include a $100 Johnny's gift card for the fastest 6-pack and a $100 Johnny's gift card for the best dressed team. Awards are given to top male and female overall places 1 through 3, and to top male and female in age groups 0-14, 15-19, and five year groups from 20 through 75 plus.
Registration opens March 27, 2026 and closes October 22, 2026. Fees are $35 through the end of September and $38 during October. Packet pickup is available Friday 12pm to 6pm at Rochester Running Company and Saturday 2pm to 2:45pm at Johnny's Pub. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
