Event Overview
The Run Like a Mother 5K & 1 Mile Walk takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Moraine State Park, Lakeview Beach in Portersville, Pennsylvania. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Walk. There is also an option to purchase a race t-shirt without participating.
Location and Course
The event is held at Lakeview Beach Road. Race day check-in is located at pavilion #4 by the North Shore Beach. The 5K course is an out-and-back route on the paved bike trail.
Beneficiary and Sponsorship
All proceeds from the event benefit the Butler Chapter of Isaiah 117 House. This organization provides a safe, welcoming home for foster children on the day they are removed from their homes. The race is sponsored by KW STEEL CITY.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K event. The top three overall male and female finishers receive awards. Awards are also given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, ranging from 1-11 to 60+.
Additional Information
