Run Like a Mother 5k & 1 Mile Walk (Moraine State Park, Lakeview Beach)
The event takes place on May 10, 2026 at Lakeview Beach Road in Portersville, PA. It includes two distance options:
- 5k run/walk
- 1 Mile Walk
The race is sponsored by Keller Williams Realty and proceeds will benefit the Butler Chapter of Isaiah 117 House, an organization that provides a short‑term home for children awaiting foster placement. The mission for Isaiah 117 House includes reducing trauma for children awaiting placement, lightening the load for child welfare services, and easing transitions for foster families.
Race day check‑in is located at pavilion number 4 by the North Shore Beach. A pre-race warm up will be led by Burn Boot Camp Butler. The course is an out and back route on the paved bike trail at Moraine State Park.
Awards for the 5k include top three male and female overall, and top three male and female in these age groups: 1–11, 12–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60+. Age groups 1–11, 12–15, 16–19, and 20–29 also award a cash prize to the first place finisher. The last day to order a race shirt is May 4, 2026.
