Run Lake Ann 5K, Erik Florip Memorial Run
The event is a community 5K held in the village of Lake Ann, Michigan, with a course that starts in downtown Lake Ann, highlights village streets and neighborhoods, and finishes with a downhill stretch on Maple Ave returning to First Street. The program also includes a short fun run on First Street of approximately two blocks; the fun run does not require registration and carries a suggested $5 donation payable day of event by cash, check, or Venmo.
Registration for the 5K includes a race t-shirt and post-race treats. Race awards include prizes and medals for 1st through 3rd place in each age group and plaques for overall male and female winners and male and female masters winners. Chip timing is provided by Runner's Edge Race Timing and results are available immediately after crossing the finish line. Packet pickup is held the evening before at Lakeview Realty (6515 First St, Lake Ann) and on race day at Burnett Park; day-of registration is available but does not include a shirt. To be guaranteed a shirt, register by June 12. The event operates in partnership with Benzie County Veteran’s Affairs for coordination of disbursement of event proceeds to Benzie County veteran families in need.
