Run Jax Labor Day 5K
The Run Jax Labor Day 5K is held on a certified, very fast course through the Beauclerc area of Jacksonville. The event is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series and awards series points to top finishers in age groups; the overall series distributes over $5,000 in cash and prizes.
Race features include custom finisher medals, moisture wicking unisex shirts, electrolyte popsicles, live results, a post race celebration with an awards ceremony, and store sales on Labor Day. Prize money for the top three overall men and women is listed as $150, $100 and $50.
Proceeds support high school cross country and track programs in Duval County, a summer camp scholarship program, and fundraising for a three mile running and walking trail at Aterro Recreation Park.
Registration and logistics notes state that registrants indicate expected pace and are asked to line up behind pace flags at the start. Packet pickup is available at selected 1st Place Sports locations on the Friday and Saturday before the event, with unclaimed packets available on race day.
