Run Jax Labor Day 5K
The Run Jax Labor Day 5K is a USATF-certified, fast and flat course through Jacksonville’s Beauclerc neighborhood. The event includes a 5K race and a one mile fun run and is an official stop on the Jacksonville Grand Prix series.
Participants receive a moisture-wicking unisex race shirt and a custom finisher medal. The finish area offers electrolyte popsicles and a post-race celebration with an awards ceremony. Live results will be provided, and prize money of $150, $100 and $50 is awarded to the top three men and women overall. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers across age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over.
The event supports local programs and projects. Funds go to high school cross country and track programs in Duval County, a summer camp scholarship program, and to help build and maintain a three-mile running and walking trail in Aterro Recreation Park.
Registration fees vary by date, with reduced rates offered earlier; a $5 age discount applies automatically for those 17 and under and 65 and over. No refunds or deferrals are available. Packet pickup is available on the designated days before the event at selected 1st Place Sports locations; unclaimed packets will be available on race day. During registration participants indicate an expected pace and are asked to line up behind the appropriate pace flag at the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
