14th Annual Run Iron Mountain
The 14th annual Run Iron Mountain event takes place on September 26, 2026, in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This road running event offers several distances and includes a charitable component, having raised nearly $200,000 for local charities throughout its history. All activities are centered around the beautiful backdrop of Dickinson County.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Half Marathon Relay (three-person teams)
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The Half Marathon has a mandatory time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. New for the 2026 edition, all finishers in the 5K event will receive a medal. The course for the 10K is recognized for its scenic layout.
The race atmosphere features a variety of live entertainment and volunteer support. Residents, cheer squads, and local high school teams provide encouragement along the routes. Musical entertainment includes a DJ stationed at the start and finish lines, complemented by live performances from local bands and cheerleaders throughout the course.
